Outside the Box are a creative Design Agency with a difference, it is solely run by Simon Hilton. A graduate of Graphic Design with Distinction and over 5 years experience working in the corporate design industry. With experience ranging from clothing apparel design with Puma to invitations for The Ryder Cup and Direct Mail for Xeretec (a branch of Xerox). The way we work is by having a wealth of resources at hand that we can call on at any time. This means we can supply you with exactly the right person for the job, depending on the job whilst still keeping our overheads low and still keeping one point of contact. Our Rates
Our rates are very competitive for the quality of the work we produce and length of experience, they are broken up into the different services we provide. Our standard rate is £40* per hour. All jobs can be charged by the hour or an estimate can be given prior to taking on the job, this is worked out on a bespoke basis, depending on all of the elements of the job and the level of design involved. We can also work to your budget to ensure you are able to get what you need for what you can afford, just contact us to see what we can do for you. We also have a freelance rate of £25* per hour where we will work in another design agency’s studio, providing all of the software and equipment is on site, if we have to bring our own equipment this rate will be my usual rate of £40* per hour. This also doesn’t include any travel expenses.
Average prices for work
To give you an idea of what you may be spending, if you choose to enquire with us for a quote then here is a few estimated job prices, these rates however may not necessarily be the price charged, they are just an overview: Bespoke Logo Design - Between £160* and £320*(Depending on number of concepts) 8 Page Brochure - Between £320* and £480* Website Design - £150* per design concept then £150* to finalise the chosen design concept, then £20* per page thereafter. Website Development (Creating the website based on the chosen concept above) prices from £1200*. * All prices are inclusive of VAT.
Freelance services
As well as working in our studio in the centre of Chichester we are also happy to travel to see you to work in your Studio or Office. We generally stick to a 30 mile radius of Chichester but contact us if you are further away and we will see what we can arrange. We have a fully portable design studio but do require at least a desk, a chair and a monitor. We have done work for many local design studios and some of these can be seen on our “any good?” page. Job Training & Education
As well as providing you with design work we can also provide your employees with the skills to create their own, newsletters, Enewsletters, or business cards etc. We have the very latest design standard software for creating any business stationery or marketing tools. So if you have employees that could benefit from learning how to use Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Illustrator CS5 or Adobe InDesign CS5. Graphic & Print Design
Graphic & Print Design includes everything we offer, whether you would like a full branding for your business start-up, a brochure or a leaflet to promote your products, a flyer or poster to create awareness of your one-off party night or event, or all of your business stationery based on your branding. We can do it all, and competitively priced too. We also have good links with local printers giving you the best possible prices for both small and large quantity print runs on any material you can imagine.

Brochure & Leaflet Design
We can create a brochure or leaflet for you to promote your company or products. We have worked on a range of leaflets and brochures for many different industries and have a wide knowledge of printing techniques that you may want to use. As with all of our services we are more than happy to work with you and your budget to create exactly what you need. We will always work to your brand unless specified not to by yourselves and we will get you the best possible prices on print. Brochures can range in size from upwards of 4 pages and leaflets can be between 1 and 6 pages.
Flyer & Poster Design
If you have an upcoming event you would like to advertise or promote then we can help. We have experience in event promotion and can develop a style for you to use throughout the entire promotion. If you just want a one off poster we can help there too. Just tell us what you are looking to achieve and we can supply you with a range of designs to suit your style. As creative designers we find we can express ourselves with jobs like this so are always very keen to take them on.
Business Stationary
Business Stationery includes your Business Card, Letterhead and Compliments Slip. This is a part of your brand that many of your customers and clients will see on a regular basis, and therefore is increidibly important to you and your client.We can help you develop these to tie in with the style of your brand, using your brand imagery and any colours you have specified. We can also source locally based, reliable printers for you. This service can be provided if you want a full set or just a single business card, just let us know yourbudget and what you want to achieve.
Website Design & Development
With the ever improving development of the Internet, web sites are becoming more and more available in many different forms, whether it is a template or a simple brochure site to promote your services. However if you want to be found by the search engines and then want people to stay on your page this needs to be done properly. Together with our web development team we can blend everything you need for a fully functioning website, whether it be, design, development, SEO based copywriting, photography or branding we have got it covered.
Location
We are situated within the walls of the City of Chichester, opposite Pallant House Gallery. We are on the top floor of a converted Georgian Building that we share with other creatives. There is good transport links to anywhere around the Portsmouth, Southampton, Brighton, Worthing and London areas. We will generally travel up to 30 miles from chichester if a meeting is required. We always prefer for potential clients to visit us for an initial meeting as it is a good way for you to meet the whole team, however we are not against travelling to you if you would prefer.
